The legitimate interest lies in being able to identify indications of unlawful use of our website (e.g. defense against hacker attacks) and to ensure a smooth connection setup. The data collected is stored in server log files that your browser automatically transmits to us in encrypted form. We only store the server log files in the event of attacks on our server infrastructure or other legal violations. This longer storage period is based on our legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR and serves only to preserve evidence.

We have concluded a Data Processing Agreement with the provider of this website, Vercel Inc. based in the USA. This is a contract required by data protection law, which ensures that Vercel Inc. only processes the personal data of our website visitors in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR. Vercel Inc. is certified under the Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision for the USA).
